Teacher librarian Elaine Fong, a colleague from Chatsworth International School Orchard Campus, put together the above video of some of the sessions using the sketch notes made by various artist. This clip certainly evidences the the value of the AFCC festival and the creativity which abounds over the five days.
Elaine also presented Encouraging Reading in the Digital Age, a session which I was fortunate enough to on Sunday. She has generously shared a Padlet containing all the online resources she showcased in her presentation. Elaine went over the key points she uses as a teacher librarian to encourage reading among students. She also highlighted the pitfalls and challenges that parents should be aware of. I can highly recommend accessing the resources listed on the Padlet if you are interested in anecdotal and research based strategies on how encourage reading.
